Daily Living Made Easier

It's the final week of Lent, Easter is Sunday, and I have some wonderful words of encouragement for all of us in the Sandwich Generation caring for elderly parents and grandchildren. As much as we know that what we are doing is vital, there are days when it can just plain get old (or we feel old! :))! Thanks to the wonderful gift of Jesus Christ, His death and His resurrection, we know that there is hope – hope for now, and hope for later. Here is one of the awesome promises of God in the Bible that add to that hope:

The Sandwich Generation is giving thanks for the Good News of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection and the salvation that can be ours as a result

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Now all these things are from God, Who reconciled us to Himself through Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18a

For more inspiring Bible verses and wonderful photos, be sure to visit this week's Word-Filled Wednesday hostess, Amydeanne, at The 160 Acre Woods. Visiting these various sites each week definitely encourage me as I go about my days as a member of the Sandwich Generation caring for elderly parents as well as helping with my grandchildren, and I hope and pray you are encouraged as well. 🙂 And for more resources, information, and encouragement…

  11. Blessings Kaye… What a lovely spring photo and such a great, new way to illustrate “new creature” instead of the butterfly (though it is beautiful too) for 2 Corinthians 5! Beautiful momma robin! I do feel older all the time… and I’m only mid fifties… hmmm(sigh)… both my parents are gone before me so I’m not sandwiched and my adult children with children are adopted and they know their bio mom so
I’m just getting old… I needed this “spring”…thanks for your visit to “The Power of Your Love” for the Lion of Judah!

May you enJOY a JOYFUL RESURRECTION SUNDAY with both sides of the sandwich! It’s been a powerful, Holy Week!

    Peace,
