Daily Living Made Easier

All things Webkinz, including their stuffed animals as well as their virtual animals at Webkinz World, are very popular with all my grandkids and myself. We had such a good time with our 10-part Webkinz Stuffed and Virtual Animals series which included fun activities for grandparents and their grandchildren which lead to fun family memories for all of you!

Webkinz Polar Bear is one of my favorite Webkinz Stuffed Animals

Guess what! I just discovered something new for Webkinz family fun that I had to share with you and your grandkids! They now have two Webkinz iPhone apps – Goober’s Lab ™ and Polar Bear Plunge!!! Both are games that my grandkids absolutely love AND the Webkinz money they earn playing them can go into their regular Webkinz accounts. At 99 cents each, these fun children's iPhone apps are definitely in our budget and I know grandkids at both homes will be thrilled with these when we're stuck waiting somewhere and they are getting bored! I don't think they will totally replace their favorite iPhone apps of chess, tic tac toe, and labyrinth, but they are definitely on our list of best iPhone apps for kids!

Goober's Lab is the same Atomicolicious I didn't like in Webkinz World but which my grandkids love. Turns out, on the Webkinz iPhone app, it's easier. I can actually do it! AND, when I went back to Webkinz World, I realized what I'd been doing wrong and can play it there as well. My grandkids are going to be thrilled! Polar Bear Plunge is a very simple game that is also much loved by the grandkids and it's just as easy on the iPhone as on the computer! And having fun playing both these games with your grandkids will lead to your developing even more fun family memories!

I do have to caveat this with one warning. In reading the reviews, they were somewhat mixed. Polar Bear Plunge has a four out of five star rating from 41 people and Goober's Lab has four out of five from 20 people. The written reviews, however, seem to be a bit more mixed, with about 10 replies for each. Half the people (kids?) writing comments raved about the apps and half complained that the apps have crashed for them.

I know my grandkids will enjoy the games even if there are crashes, so I have already added both games to my iPhone and even tested them just a bit. So far, there have been no problems. We'll certainly have plenty of fun with them and I'll definitely keep you posted if there are any issues of concern.  Also, if any of you get these iPhone apps and give them a try, we'd love to hear what you and your grandkids or kids think of them. And have a blast with your Webkinz stuffed and virtual animals at home, on the web AND on your iPhones!

:)

  3. Hi Kristen, thanks 🙂 I’m not sure about the Droids, but it’s definitely worth checking into. 🙂 I did a quick search and don’t see anything yet but if you hear of any I’d love to hear about that as well. 🙂

  4. They’re especially useful for restaurants while waiting for food or in doctor’s offices, etc., Cyrene. Not to mention just plain fun activities for parents, grandparents and their grandchildren! 🙂

Those apps sound like a lot of fun! Neither my husband nor I own an Iphone though (I know, we live under a rock LOL), but my relatives have them and I just might persuade them to give the games a try. 🙂

Very cool! I wonder if they have them for the Droids yet? (I have a Droid) I like how you post the reviews too so that people know what they are getting into!
