Making fun promises to grandkids and keeping them is one of the joy-filled activities of grandparents and their grandchildren, including those in the Sandwich Generation. Whether it's as over-the-top as a trip to Disney World or as everyday-normal as a game of monster tag, once we've made that promise, we'll do our utmost to keep it. If we do that much for our grandchildren, how much more does God do for us?
Here are some wonderful promises from Him to encourage all of us as we journey on as members of the Sandwich Generation, caring for elderly parents and grandchildren.
One Promise Fulfilled
One Promise Coming
One Promised Fulfilled
Is anything too hard for the LORD?
At the appointed time I will return to you,
in the spring, and Sarah shall have a son."
Genesis 18:14 RSV
One Promise Coming
"Men of Galilee, why are you standing here staring at the sky?
Jesus has been taken away from you into heaven.
And someday, just as you saw Him go, He will return!"
Acts 1:11 NLT
