The Sandwich Generation issues of caring for elderly parents, being granny nannies to adorable grandkids, dealing with a 5th metatarsal fracture, and general life problems and trials can sometimes seem overwhelming. That's one of the reasons I LOVE several verses from Isaiah including Isaiah 43:1-3!
Thus says the LORD, your Creator…"Do not fear,
for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior…
Isaiah 43:1-3
Aren't those uplifting and encouraging Bible verses – no matter what we are facing!!!

Hi Lori, I am so with you. I LOVE so many different verses from that book! Very encouraging Scriptures throughout!
Hi Amydeanne – AMEN! I can’t WAIT til the return of our precious Savior! 🙂
Hi PartialEmptyNester, Thank you 🙂 🙂 🙂
I love this picture and passage……after doing my Isaiah quote I went to bed and read a couple of chapters….I love that book.
I was in the “have you not known” Is 40 and had sung the Comfort me from Handel by sort of memory!!!
then just reveled in the words.
28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the LORD,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
I love the fact that your verse says “when you walk” not “if” etc.
We forget that for the Christian on pilgrimage it is always going to be when. I wondered last night what my next test would be and came home late afternoon from “sit and sew” and coughed my heart out…..then knew, before I checked that yes…this is my week on roster for singing in the worship team for the two morning services and I do not want to have to pull out. So rest and trust I think is the order of the day.
I can identify with those sore feet of yours…had them a while back and it was not nice at all.
Hugs in Him
Hi Ozjane – Perfect timing for these encouraging Scriptures. I just got up but was feeling tired. Thanks for a wonderful hug in and through HIm 🙂 I’m praying you’ll be ok for singing with the worship team! 🙂 Have a blessed and restful week. (Have you tried Hall’s vitamin C drops? You get extra vitamin C AND it sometimes helps with the coughing. 🙂 )
