Daily Living Made Easier

Grandparents:
Summer is a wonderful time to teach our grandkids things we don’t have time for in the school year. That’s especially true for those grandparents who take care of their grandkids while the parents are at work. Connie of Connie’s View has some great suggestions for ways to teach our grandkids to learn the gift of giving in her article,  Teaching Children to Donate.
HomemakerBarbi has some fun and frugal recipes I bet our grandkids will love. After all, how could they resist such things as Porcupines and Nachos Supreme!

Elder Caregivers:
If you are trying to sell a house for yourself or an aging parent, here’s 10 great reminders of what NOT to do from Bankrate.

Paula Farris, an eldercare compadre from Twitter, reminds us how important it is to remember add any vitamins, herbs, & dietary supplements our aging parents take when preparing a medication list for a doctor visit.

Sandwich Generation:
Very interesting article on elder caregiving by the Baby Boomer Generation (which, of course, includes the Sandwich Generation) in the Washington Post.

Here’s something to give you a smile as you go about your elder caregiving and grandparenting today – the hats for Ladies Day at the Royal Ascot. They are absolutely fascinating! I’m sure glad I don’t have to wear one of them! How about you?

Do you use a Macbook Pro? Do you have issues with the sharp edges? I read one suggestion solution was to wear wrist sweat bands.

For those middle-of-the-night hot flashes or worry fests – At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto Thee because of Thy righteous judgments~Psalms 119.62.

If you have an iPhone, have you updated it in the last week? If not, did you know there is a new update to 3.0? My daughter got hers updated and loves it. Lots of new goodies!

My all time favorite clip art designer, Trina, has some great new clip art out. I’ve had such fun making projects for the grandkids and cards for my aging parents with her adorable clip art.
