My grand-twins and big bro and I love tag activities for grandparents and their grandchildren

Welcome to SandwichINK as we celebrate BOTH Twinstock 2010 AND Sweet Shot Tuesday. We all had so much fun with Twinstock 2009 I wanted to join in with Jen again. As with all our children and grandchildren, my grand-twins have grown! This year's photo is above and last year's photo is below. Even with shoes vs. bare feet, you can definitely see growth!

My grand-twins and big bro have been thoroughly enjoying our outdoor summer activities such as the Sunflower House

Grand-twins and grand-big-bro and I have had fun with the Sunflower House

The Sunflower House was a ton of fun for grand-twins and Grand-Big-Bro and my senior mom and me

Loving all these fun Sunflowers

The Sunflower activities for grandparents and their grandchildren have been great this summer

We've also had fun with swimming in their vinyl swimming pool, blowing tons of bubbles, and even some letter writing while I was traveling, complete with Silly Putty silly-ness (that's a couple of FUN articles in the making).

Still more activities for grandparents and their grandchildren

We had some rolling good fun at the bowling alley this summer. I had a "date" with the grand-twins one day,

Bowling in the summer makes for fun activities in the summer - great way to stay cool

while big sis and big bro and I had a "date" there, together, the next day.

All in all, we've had such a delightful time. I'm looking forward to autumn, but in spite of the heat, I've really enjoyed this summer and all the great family memories I've made with the grand-twins and their siblings !  And, of course, the summer isn't over yet – so there's bound to be plenty more games of tag, bubble blowing, and creative activities for this granny nanny and her grandchildren in our Sandwich Generation household.

If you're also a parent or grandparent of twins, do give a shout out in the comments below. And mosy on over to TwinStock. Jen has several cool prizes over there, including books about and some cute and unique clothes for twins. Also, be sure to check out the fun photos and photo tips at Sweet Shot Tuesday. I've learned several great tips for how to do some cool things with my easy to use digital camera, and I know you will too.

How fun!! I have cousins that are twins…but that’s as close as they are to me so far. Bowling sounds like fun–we haven’t done that in a while!! Bubble wars are easy to do at home though!!

  7. Hi Diane, Thank you 🙂 I can’t believe how tall my oldest grand-big-bro is getting, I’m telling you! And the grand-twins are right there with him! 🙂

  8. Hi Kristen, Bowling WAS fun, ESPECIALLY with those cool side gutters that mean NO gutter balls for granny nanny! 🙂 (Thanks to Wii, the boys are GREAT bowlers! 🙂 )

  9. Hi Rochelle, Thank you 🙂

  10. Amen, Laurie, AMEN! 🙂 Makes even the heat not so noticeable – at least, not until it’s 100 and we’re trying to play tag! Then we decided to opt for Sequence in the House 🙂 🙂 🙂
