Snow, snow and more snow! We've got it piled up everywhere and more coming this weekend. It's been a peaceful quiet week of writing for me, while my grandkids have had a wonderful time with school "snow days" and test driving some plastic snow sleds we picked up. Since the roads were full of ice and snow, I didn't get to do much babysitting of grandchildren this week but heard they had a blast!
My test-driving grandchildren cheerfully informed me that this snow boogie/snow slick wasn't much fun, particularly since the handle part broke fairly quickly. We definitely do NOT recommend these sleds for the younger elementary grandkids.
This plastic snow saucer turned out to be wonderful! They make excellent snow sleds for kids. My grandchildren had a blast with it and tried to get a couple more at Walmart, only to discover they were all sold out. Guess there are plenty of other grandkids having a good time playing around in the snow. 🙂 This is one we would definitely recommend for fellow grandparents. It was under $10, easy to store, and "snow much fun."
Now it's your turn. What activities do you and your grandkids enjoy playing with in the snow? Do you have any special snow ideas when you are babysitting grandchildren? We're definitely new to this whole snow season so would love suggestions. Also, we'd love to have you sign up for the FREE SandwichINK email using the form on the right for more ideas that are "snow good" for Sandwich Generation grandparents and grandchildren. 🙂
