GUESS WHAT! Today I do NOT have the 10 Commandments song for kids and grand children. Instead…I have a cute video of the ten commandments SPOKEN with HAND MOTIONS for our kids and grand children. 🙂
When visiting A Mom With A Blog, I found a terrific video produced by Darrel Rundus from The Great News Network. In 2009, Darrel held a contest to see who could say the 10 commandments in 20 seconds or less. The contest is long over, but the video he produced for teaching the 10 commandments for kids and their families is still going strong and very helpful.
Wasn't that great. I love that this video helps in teaching the ten commandments for our children and grand kids by enabling them (and us) to internalize them using extra senses – they'll hear them, say them, and use their hands to do them. Something I think is so important for all kinds of learning activities. AND it's just plain fun. That's always a big help for grandparents AND grandchildren, don't you think? 🙂
P.S. Curious about who won the contest? It's a sweet ending to a great idea and you can see the video for it at Darrel Rundus' site, The Great News Network. 🙂
P.P.S. For more fun ideas and resources for grandparents and their grandchildren, don't forget to…
Hi Kaye! That has proved to be a very useful video. My kids and I now know the 10 Commandments and they are also teaching the kids in their Sunday school class.
I’m so glad you shared the video of the winner! I was always curious! And thanks for linking to my blog… I appreciate that.
God bless! 🙂

Hi Mary Ann, You’re very welcome. And that’s so great to hear the wonderful ripple effects that continue to go out from that video. Isn’t it exciting to see God working so wonderfully! 🙂 Have a blessed and joy-filled Summer. 🙂
