Time flies for all of us, and especially those of us so busy in the Sandwich Generation! I can't believe it's already Palm Sunday! The day we remember when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, while the crowd threw palm branches on the ground in front of Him and cried Hosannah! Hosannah. One of the many prophecies fulfilled by our Savior concerning His suffering, death, and resurrection. As my grandkids will tell you, in our Easter Resurrection eggs that I purchased, it's represented by the egg with a donkey inside it.
It's also the beginning of the darkest week of our precious Lord's life – a week that saw Him betrayed, abandoned, beaten, and crucified. And yet, it's also the week before the best day ever, when Jesus Christ arose from the dead, and we can rejoice with Paul who wrote in Galatians,
"Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When He was hung on the cross, He took upon Himself the curse for our wrongdoing."
As I often remind my grandchildren. He made a choice! And He chose US! And He did it before we were ever born., Before the world was even created. What love – unimaginable – and forever worthy of our joining Jeremy Riddle in saying, "In awe of the cross I must confess How wondrous Your redeeming love and How great is Your faithfulness" as we sweetly surrender our all to He Who gave His all for us!

I pray that these encouraging Bible verses and praise and worship music will be a sweet blessing to all of us in AND of the Sandwich Generation on this last Sunday of Lent 2012.
It’s true, Kaye. It’s a choice. We can reject Him or we can accept Him. So sad that so many who accepted Him on Palm Sunday rejected him just a few days later.
Blessings,
Charlotte
