Tomorrow is the beginning of a new season in the year, Autumn – full of lovely fall trees in colour and fun harvest activities. Can you tell it's my favorite season! Really though, each season has its own lovliness, wonderfully created by our awesome God. When the Sandwich Generation issues of life seem overwhelming, we can look at His wonderful creation and know that He Who has the power to create everything, also has the power to take good care of us – no matter WHAT is going on!
I have made the earth, and created man upon it:
I, even My hands, have stretched out the heavens,
and all their host have I commanded.
Isaiah 45:12 (KJV)
Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer,
and He that formed thee from the womb,
I am the LORD that maketh all things;
that stretcheth forth the heavens alone;
that spreadeth abroad the earth by Myself…
Isaiah 44:24 (KJV)
These are great Bible verses for children as well, teaching them the some of the basic foundations of their Christian faith. They are wonderful to read to our grandchildren as we granny nanny or pappy our nearby grandkids or to add them to our notes and letters to our long distance grandchildren – either in the King James Version or in the New International Version, such as:
This is what the LORD says — your Redeemer,
Who formed you in the womb:
I am the LORD, Who has made all things,
Who alone stretched out the heavens,
Who spread out the earth by myself.
Definitely encouraging Bible verses for the Baby Boomer Generation juggling so many issues while caring for elderly parents and grandkids! And for more uplifting Bible verses to nourish your heart on this Word-Filled Wednesday, you can visit Internet Cafe Devotions. 🙂

Great verses.
Beautiful verses to meditate upon today. Blessings to you.
What an awesome picture, Kaye, and it illustrates these verses so well! To think, the God who created the entire universe also created us with His tender hands. I know He continues to hold me in His hand and takes care of me. Amen!
Beautiful verses.
So pretty, and I love those verses. Our God is an awesome God. I find myself looking up to the sky more and more, amazed at His glory. I love to take pictures of it, the sun, moon and clouds. Blessings ~
Kaye,
These are perfect verses for ALL of us…The older generation must tell the younger generations these truths…they have such distractions…
Wonderful Word here girl! Love it, as always I’m blessed!
peace,
lori
Great Scripture verses for us to remember. We serve an awesome God. I wish I had memorized more Scripture as a child. It’s harder to do when we get older but it’s still absolutely possible.
Thanks, From the Heart. 🙂
Hi Wanda, Thank you 🙂
Hi Laurie, Isn’t that awesomely encouraging! And boy, don’t we need that kind of encouragement right now! What a blessing the Word of God is to us!!! 🙂
Hi Jessica, Thank you for popping in. 🙂
Hi Lori, You are so right! Thanks again for a lovely Word-Filled Wednesday 🙂
Hi Cathy, It is a blessing, isn’t it! I love to grab my easy to use Canon Powershot digital camera and take pictures of the beauty God has created. It’s such an encouragement! Thanks for popping in 🙂
Hi Amanda, Thanks! And thanks for popping in 🙂
Hi Debbie, Too true. I heard a pastor make the most encouraging comment though, years ago, that he had never really set out to memorize Bible verses. But he found that the more time he spent in the Word of God, and the more he read and re-read favorite passages, the more they soaked into his heart and he could then remember them later. I have found that to be true for me – although it’s usually “Kaye’s version” and slightly skewed. But with the help of Google, I can usually track down the exact quotes. 🙂 Makes this hate-to-admit-to-aging baby boomer VERY happy. 🙂
Hi Whidbey Woman, Very blessed! I’m cherishing the bits and pieces of autumn that is already showing – such as the leaves falling down, the flowers in their lovely fall colors, and the decorations around the house. 🙂 And I’m already bemused at the fact that in just three months, give or take, we’re likely to be surrounded by snow, then on back to delightful spring. I love them all – though autumn IS my fave! 🙂 Have a blessed week!
These are great verses Kaye, for young and old alike!
Wonderful post / WFW.
Have a God-blessed day!
Hi Kaye, Happy first day of Fall! Aren’t we blessed with the changing of the seasons? That is a really cool picture. The more I look at it, the more I see. The scripture from Isaiah is rich, too.
Happy WFW!
I love the first day of fall!
Bless you for such precious scriptures.
Hi Amydeanne – you and me both! 🙂
Hi Denise 🙂 Have a blessed week!
