Spring is here! The birds are chirping. The animals are frolicking. The grandkids are playing. The trees and flowers are GORGEOUS, spring is springing…
…and so is the sinus infection this Sandwich Generation granny nanny probably got, at least in part, from the allergies I apparently have to some of them! My poor senior mom is ignoring her gardening and sweetly hovering over me to make sure I don't really feel as bad as I look and sound. I'm praying none of my kids or grandkids get this bug. And I'm so grateful for my doctor and the antibiotic she prescribed for my sinus infection treatment. Now I just have to mope around until it kicks in. 🙂
Since laying in bed just makes me feel worse, I have managed to drag myself to the computer and today, I am here to wax eloquent on the joys of Puffs Plus Lotion facial tissues for all of us in the Sandwich Generation. I discovered this facial tissue a few years ago and cannot say enough good things about their whole line!
We use the regular Puffs along with Kleenex, which I also like, for most of our needs. But when it comes to a heavy-hitting bug like this one, requiring non-stop nose wiping, I immediately go for the Puffs Plus as it has a moisturizer in it to keep the tissue from chafing my poor, sad, miserable little nose! My senior mom, my kids, and my grandchildren all love this product as well! They even have Puffs Plus Facial Tissues with Vicks with both lotion and the strong comforting smell of Vicks to help unclog you just a bit. If I can manage to get myself up and out of the house, I may pick some of that up. In the meantime, I'm just so grateful that I had some of the Puffs Plus tissues stashed in a closet for moments like this. This sinus infection hit fast, furious, and unexpectedly and you can't imagine the relief these soft tissues provide from the severe sinus infection symptoms I'm experiencing all around my sore nose!!!
Of course, if I was desperate, and could wait 2 days, I could order Puffs Plus from Amazon (Isn't it amazing what they carry! 🙂 ). They're not as cheap as Walmart so I probably wouldn't do that for myself. But if one of my senior parents who lives out of state needed them, and was too sick to leave their house, I for sure would order it for them. In fact, I'd probably take advantage of my Amazon Prime Discount Membership and have it sent next day for only $3.99. That's one of the many reasons why I love my Amazon Prime! 🙂
For those of you in the Sandwich Generation caring for elderly parents and helping with grandchildren, who are also allergic to flowers, here's some more wildflowers for all of us to enjoy that WON'T hurt our allergies. Stay healthy so you don't have to join me in sitting around surrounded by Puffs Plus tissue, Mucinex cough remedies for kids, and Halls Vitamin C Drops! At least, I still have my Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper, too! Achoo! 🙂
