Lovely pink blooms to encourage the Sandwich Generation - shot with my easy to use digital camera

Talk about ANOTHER weird weather year! Yesterday, Arizona got a HUMOUNGOUS snowfall, as did Idaho and Washington. Northern California has cold non-stop rain. And we are enjoying blissful warmth on this first day of summer – WAIT a minute. It just SEEMS like the first day of summer with our 84 degree temps. For all these crazy weather patterns, the calendar makes it quite clear. Today is the first day of SPRING. And may I say, my Sandwich Generation family all hollers HOORAY. 🙂

Aren’t the blooms on these two trees gorgeous! I snapped them with my easy to use digital camera as I was taking another walk around our neighborhood with one of my grandsons and my senior mom. This time they were both on foot. With the weather so nice, in between summer-like storms, the grandkids have also been enjoying their Razor scooters and their bikes.

Perfect weather for our Sandwich Generation - as my grandson - senior mom and I in the shadow enjoy fun and phsycial grandkid and senior citizen activities together

Biking, walking, scooting – all are great and fun for the grandkids, not to mention this senior citizen (well, I have fun on feet as they scoot and bike), and are excellent and healthy activities for our brains and our bodies. That’s so vital for all ages and especially for our senior parents. There is constantly news for boomers and seniors about the need to stay moving and active. It makes such a positive difference for both physical and mental health. Well, I’m off for more fun and busy activities as I rangle with the grandkids. Have a lovely Sweet Shot Tuesday and Pink Saturday to all of us in the Sandwich Generation – working hard at staying healthy! 🙂

  4. Hi Jeanne – I know JUST what you mean about time! And we’re right there with you with the summer temps – so early, I’m almost wondering if we might not get snow in June or July like a friend did a few years ago – hehehehe – wouldn’t that be oddly fun! 🙂 Thanks for popping over!
