I used this Spring celebration photo of a natural preserve in West Roseville near where I live as a background for today’s Bible verse. Isn’t it gorgeous? We often have egrets, ducks, and geese in and around the water ponds that are currently there from the rain we’ve enjoyed, off and on. In fact, today it wasn’t as sunny – more of the rain and clouds which we need. But in the next day or so we will be back to sunshine. And doesn’t that look like a fun walk for grandparents and grandkids. While my senior mom and I stick with sidewalks which are easier to walk on.
Happy Palm Sunday.
Can you believe it’s already Easter Week. Here’s a devotional our church shared. There are Scripture readings from each book of the Gospel for each day of Easter Week starting today.
Sweet Spiritual Legacy
I enjoyed sharing this with my kids and grandkids and thought I’d also print out the passages for my sweet senior mom. I would love to encourage y’all to do the same – either with this or with something else special about the Easter story. It’s a lovely way to share your spiritual legacy with your family on this first week of spring and as a vital part of this Holy Week.
Easter Gift Ideas for Grandkids
Speaking of leaving a spiritual legacy and encouraging our grandkids in their faith, are you looking for interesting ideas for older grandkids for Easter? My granddaughters have all enjoyed (and their younger sisters are enjoying) reading the Christy Miller series by Robin Gunn. My grandsons have enjoyed the Frank Peretti series about dragons – – as well as the Dragon book series by Bryan Davis. Some ideas for younger grandkids can be found at my post, Inspirational Christian Easter Gifts Ideas for Kids and Grandkids in Our Sandwich Generation Families.
That’s all for now. Have a blessed week. 🙂
