Daily Living Made Easier

As members of the Sandwich Generation, caring for elderly parents and helping with our grandchildren, praying for our families is always a high priority. Interruptions can come frequently which is another reason I love to have a list of simple Scripture prayers. They make it easy for me to be praying Scripture according to God's will for everyone in my family, from my senior parents on down to my youngest grandchild, and for myself as well. They are also great for prayer and Bible memory verse activities FOR grandparents and their grandchildren! 🙂

Simple Scripture Prayers for the Sandwich Generation and to use as prayer and Bible memory verse activities for grandparents and their grandchildren

All of you, live in harmony with one another;

be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing,

because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing…

seek peace and pursue it…

in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.

1 Peter 3:8,9,11,15 (NIV)

Aren't those wonderful and encouraging Bible verses to use as simple Scripture prayers? They're hanging in my bathroom and in my car right now! 🙂

  2. Oh, yes, this scripture is going up at our house, too! I love to have His Word in front of me, and I often have them on mirrors and on the kitchen sink windowsill. To practice peace and harmony at home is a goal we can all strive for, so that we may, in turn, practice it as we go out into the world. Amen!
    Blessings to you,
    Laurie

  3. The picture you chose is perfect for your verse, especially showing harmony. Without harmony the symphony would not sound so good. Without peace, love, compassion, and all the others we would not have friends. No one would want to be around us. Most of all we need all of that for the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, God, our Most High God and our soon coming King. That I do not want to miss.

  4. Sweet blessings to you.

  10. Hi Laurie, Isn’t it fun to use our high-tech printers to do God’s low-tech RX from Deuteronomy 6:5,8,9 — These commandments. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates (and your bathrooms and your sinks and your mirrors) 🙂 🙂 🙂

  11. Hi Rena and Ginger, It’s always a work in progress, isn’t it? 🙂 Everytime I get 3 steps forward, I seem to take 1,2,3 or sometimes 4 steps back, then 1 more forward, etc. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Praise God, He is so awesomely encouraging to us in spite of us 🙂
