Encouraging Scripture Pictures

Inspirational Scripture Pictures for Caregivers

Caring for elderly family members is NOT easy! Particularly as health issues start to increase as part of the aging process. This Scripture Picture for Ephesians 6:10 is a great reminder to us to trust in Him and lean on Him, rather than on our own strength, which often isn’t that strong!

Lent Coloring Pages – Kids & Grandkids

One of the things my elderly mom and I LOVE about being part of the Sandwich Generation is getting to spend time with our cute grandkids (or in mom’s case, great-grandkids). She can’t do as much as she used to. But oh my! She so loves to chat on Facetime with the older grandkids, read the occasional book with the little grandkids, and feed the youngest grandkids their bottles.

And I continue to enjoy sharing Bible stories, Bible games, and fun Bible activities with all of them, near and far. It’s not as easy with the long distance grands. Tho easier than it used to be thanks to the magic of Facebook and Instagram. But happily, the youngest grandkids still love my coloring pages. Like this cute donkey and Bible verse to go along with my Resurrection Easter Eggs that the older grandkids so enjoyed and the youngest are just getting to know. Since we usually only see these cuties once a week, we’re going to have a lot of fun each week with an egg hunt or two, coupled with coloring pages and Lent Scripture Pictures to match.

By the by, we also had fun this week as we opened each Resurrection Easter egg, starting with the donkey in the first one. Plus we enjoyed singing Hosanna by God’s Kids Worship Band along with Paul Baloche’s Hosanna – Praise is Rising.

AND, since we apparently have a nasty bug going around our little gang, I also rounded up our Veggie Tales – An Easter Carol on streaming video for them to enjoy watching and listening to while being cuddled. (They also have it on DVD with another Easter video!)

A lovely Lenten preparation for Easter for all ages!

Have a GREAT Week!

Well, that’s our sweet Scripture Pictures and simple beginnings to Lent for our Sandwich Generation family. How about you? Is caregiving going ok? Are you doing anything for Lent? We’d love to hear!
