Today is Palm Sunday, when we remember that Jesus Christ rode into Jerusalem a few days before He died a horrible death on the cross for you and for me, and a week before HIS RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD, again FOR YOU AND FOR ME! Aren't those wonderful words of encouragement for the Sandwich Generation, the Baby Boomers Generation, our children, our grandchildren, our loved ones, and, indeed, the whole world.
For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life.
This is the last week for A Pause in Lent, and I'm going to do something a bit different. I found a video at YouTube that just touched my heart, moved me to tears, and yet the ending just makes me cry out, "Come quickly, Lord Jesus, come quickly and take us to heaven to be with You for ever. And please make sure all our loved ones go as well!"
I will warn you in advance, this video is a bit graphic. In addition to the wonderful praise and worship music from Tim Hughes, Here I Am To Worship, it uses scenes from The Passion of the Christ
. I would watch it alone first before showing it to anyone else to be sure it is ok to share, particularly before you show it to young grandchildren. It may be that only you will want to watch it. I pray it will challenge each of us and encourage us, particularly the ending, as we deal with all the daily Sandwich Generation issues of our lives.
Have a blessed week before Easter and a peaceful Pause in Lent. And do be sure to visit Floss' site where you will find Easter stories, pictures, and activities for grandparents and their grandchildren, along with other sites to see for the season of Lent. 🙂
Hi, I just popped along for a look, lots of thoughtful meditational stuff on your site to dip into so I will come back, thankyou. Nice to meet you! Betty/Yappy
Hi Betty, Thank you 🙂
