Happy Sunday before the 4th of July. It’s a season of patriotic fun and frolic but there’s plenty of serious sides to it as well. Fireworks safety with our grandkids, keeping an eye out on elderly parents and granddogs during the fireworks fun, and making sure everyone gets plenty of water and sun lotion during the outside fun times. And most important, a good week to remember to pray extra for our nation! As we celebrate our annual national birthday party, of this beautiful country of America, One nation Under GOD…
…let’s keep our leaders – those we agree with AND those we disagree with – and our military – and our loved ones and their loved ones and their loved ones… – and our whole country in our prayers. 🙂
Happy BirthdayÂ
toÂ
the
United States of America
In God We Trust

P.S. I had a lot of fun, and shed more than a couple of tears, reviewing patriotic music at YouTube – focusing on America the Beautiful, My Country Tis of Thee, and the one I picked – God bless America, featuring Vestal Goodman and the Gaithers. Then I discovered I could save them in a playlist I called Patriotic Holiday Music.  I can’t believe it took me this long to learn THAT. 🙂 If you’d like to hear more lovely patriotic music including that from some of our great military bands, not to mention the wonderful Judy Garland, just click here. 🙂 And have a blessed and beautiful and safe patriotic holiday week!
P.P.S. Want some fun holiday ideas for the whole family, in OR out of the Sandwich Generation –  from grandkids to elderly parents? Check out my Pinterest boards, starting with Holiday Fun. And keep a close eye on my Facebook pages this week – especially SandwichINK for the Sandwich Generation. I’ll be sharing them as I find them – like this and this.  🙂
