One of the excellent Randy Alcorn books about heaven for children and grandchildren - especially those in the Sandwich GenerationI read the sweetest book while flying home last week. It's another of the Randy Alcorn books about Heaven, "Wait Until Then." I'll be talking about it more on Monday, but I decided to pull today's encouraging Bible memory verses for our children and grandchildren from some he quoted in the book. For the photo, I used the travel transport wheelchair we keep in our garage. Being in the Sandwich Generation, and working with a variety of ages and health issues, it's been used plenty. While I appreciate what a great tool it is, it also reminds me that there are plenty of tears and pain in this old world. So it seemed quite appropriate to use it as a back drop for these sweetly comforting Bible verses, don't you think?

I saw a new heaven and a new earth…And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them….He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain…"  Rev. 21:1,3,4

I have used these precious Scriptures with my own Sandwich Generation family many times. With aging parents and special needs issues in our family, they are such comforting verses that bless us all mightily, and I pray they will be an encouragement for you as well.
