These sweet words of encouragement and inspiration are a great example for all of us in the Sandwich Generation to follow. Especially when the issues we are dealing with are not a "piece of cake!"

They're also great for us to share as encouraging Bible memory verses for our children and grandchildren during this season of Lent 2012. Each time I read to my grandchildren for nap or bedtime, we also read together Bible verses and these will be top of the list for the grand kids over the next few weeks. One of my favorite ways of leaving a sweet spiritual legacy of love for the Word in their hearts and minds!

That scripture always makes me want to sing ‘Turn your eyes upon Jesus’.
I used to love reading scripture to my children when they were young enough to want to be read to, and even now it comes into conversation.
