It's another delightful Word-Filled Wednesday for this season of Lent 2012. My grandkids and I have been doing great at working on practicing the weekly Bible memory verses for the kids and grandkids that I've been posting. How about you and yours? 🙂 Those of us in the Sandwich Generation, caring for our aging parents, are regularly reminded of how vital it is for ALL ages to "exercise our brains" and this is such a blessed way of doing it. Because we not only feed our brains, we feed our hearts and souls by hiding God's Word in our hearts.
But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Galatians 6:14
I'm really being blessed by this year's encouraging Bible verses with the focus on Jesus and His supreme sacrifice for us on the cross at Calvary. And I'm so enjoying using this series as another way of leaving a sweet spiritual legacy of His truth in the hearts and minds of our grandchildren. I pray it's a blessing to your Sandwich Generation family as well. And don't forget, you can enjoy more encouraging Bible verses at Internet Cafe Devotions, as well as ideas for teaching our children and grandchildren Bible verses at Teaching What is Good. Lent and Easter blessings to you all!
You know Kaye every week we take the Gospel into a local elementary school…it’s amazing they LET us do it…and it’s the only time many of these kids will hear the name of Jesus…the next few weeks we are telling the Easter story so they KNOW what Jesus did for them…this was a blessing after I settled down after preparing the lesson for tomorrow…the blessing that God spoke through this Word you shared…confirmation for me! Loved this! thanks friend!
You bless m, thanks.
