Yup! It's another picture from the apple orchard my Sandwich Generation family visited last month. Isn't the autumn view beautiful – all the gorgeous fall foliage colors. I had such fun visiting with all, including sweet grandkids, and loved this trip. And doesn't it make a great backdrop for these encouraging Bible verses! As you can see, it was a stormy, cloudy day, yet the vivid leaf colors still stand out. SO lovely!
Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. Glory in His holy name; Let theheart of those who seek the LORD be glad. Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done, His marvels and the judgments from His mouth. 1 Chronicles 16:8-12
God's awesome deeds, including creating this gorgeous world, are indeed wondrous. And so worthy of praise! I've been reading the encouraging Bible memory verses from last week to my local grandkids each time I am babysitting for the children and it's such a fun way to prepare for Thanksgiving, don't you think?
How about you and your Sandwich Generation family? Have you started to prepare for Thanksgiving? What projects or plans do you have? We'd love to hear. And be sure to check out Internet Cafe Devotions for Word-Filled Wednesday. Bet we find more fun and thankful ideas there as well. 🙂
Beautiful picture! This time of year is so beautiful with the changing leaves, I can’t help but to praise God for making such beauty for us to enjoy! We are so blessed!
Ohhh BEAUTIFUL Kaye! I love this photo except the gloomy clouds but it gave you room to write a wonderful WORD… This is repeated often in scriptures (the Psalms especially). With colors like these, we can always be thankful… that’s probably part of the reason for THANKSGIVING in the fall along with the HARVEST! May we always give thanks in every season and bring in a sweet harvest for God’s Kingdom!
Many blessings and much love,
Peggy
Such a lovely post.
Love the verse and the beautiful picture. The trees are so beautiful, looks like someone painted them. God gave us such a lot of beauty for each season of the year.
What a beautiful picture!!! Thanks for sharing it and your post. It makes me smile from he beauty and thankful for who our God is.
Thanks for the sweet comments Alice 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you Denise. Praying for you 🙂
Hi Peggy, thanks so much 🙂 Would you believe – we had clouds just like that again today. They’re dark but still so lovely in a majestic sort of way – God’s power at work in a variety of ways! 🙂
Amen, Charlotte, AMEN! 🙂
I used this verse from Chronicles awhile back and I LOVE it..Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. I need the reminder….not only to sing, and sing but SPEAK of HIS wonders…the world sure needs it pointed out… LOVE this inspiration Kaye!!
You bless me!
Thanks Lori! 🙂 Years ago, our church actually had a praise chorus and we loved singing these words on Sunday mornings. 🙂 Have a blessed week!!!!
