Whew! It's been an up and down week, but things are going a bit smoother. Still and all, with the various Sandwich Generation issues I'm constantly juggling that can change with a moment's notice. That's why I added last week's encouraging Scripture and picture to my iPhone as the inside wallpaper and today's picture to my outside wallpaper. That way, I am constantly reminded that "God is the strength of my heart," and "God is the rock of my refuge." I can't tell you what a blessing those two verses are during those "crunch moments" we all know so well!
Not only am I blessed by seeing these in my phone, my grandkids are seeing them regularly as they borrow my iPhone to play their games. Plus I have been reading these verses to them during odd moments. Yet another fun way of hiding God's Word in their hearts and leaving a sweet spiritual legacy! Hmmmm, wouldn't Moses get a big smile on his face to see this interpretation of his words in Deuteronomy 6:5-9. 🙂
For more encouragement for all of us in AND out of the Sandwich Generation, enjoy Word-Filled Wednesday. And…
Kaye! Our posts go hand in hand…your post here encouraged me, especially the words, it changes at a moments notice. THAT seems to be my life…Perfect WORD for my walk today…thank you sweet lady! You blessed me!
You are a true encourager.
What an excellent idea! Now, how to turn the memorizing into a game ! Ha!
Hi Kathleen, I say it to my grandkids or with them, depending on how we are all doing, in the car each day and when I tuck them into bed for nap or bedtime – on those days I do that. And if I have it on cd I play that in car and it all helps. We start back at Awana this year after a year off – I may have to add some new tricks for that 😉
