I had been blessed by this encouraging Scripture from Isaiah in the morning, before I went out for a walk with my granddog and his mom. So when I spotted these adorable pink flowers right smack dab in WINTER, the inspirational words immediately came back to my mind. What a sweet treat to share with you on this last Word-Filled Wednesday in 2011. And what a joy to delight in one of the sweet promises of God in the Bible – as true now as it was then, and fully applicable to all of us, in AND out of the Sandwich Generation.
Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth ; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19
It's such a joy to end this year with encouraging Bible verses, isn't it? Definitely good news for all of us boomers and seniors! You can find more delightful inspiration for all of us in the Sandwich Generation at Internet Cafe Devotions. And have a blessed week as we say good-bye to 2011.
Very encouraging.
Hi Kaye,
I haven’t been by here in a while but I am so glad I came today. Your post is very encouraging to me. I love the flowers that popped up despite the cold weather. (It’s easy to be a fair-weather flower) And the reminder that God is doing something new as we enter into this new year. I want to be watching…to be aware of what it is, and not miss it by walking by to fast.
Thank you for the encouragement today!
Blessings,
Charlotte
Blessings Kaye,
Haven’t I seen this WORD somewhere else? (lol)… Great WORD and I love the sweet encouragement not only found in God’s Word but along your walk with granddog and mom… in your photo!!! Praise God that He does NEW things in us, and in His creation to delight us and remind us that He is at work!!! Looking forward to the NEW!
Hope you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and God brings you even more blessings in 2012! Thanks for the JOY, sending you a hug and a happy new year blessing from God! Numbers 6:24-26

I’m loving this verse for going into a new year. And you are a good example for me as you’ve already gone for your walk. I need to step away from the computer and …walk!

Debbie

Beautiful ~ So many had the same verse in mind. Looking forward to the new thing God will do. Blessings ~
Great points, Charlotte. It’s so easy for us to get mired down in the day to day needs. We need to stop and “smell the roses,” that’s for sure! Have a blessed day!
