Daily Living Made Easier

When this Sandwich Generation granny nanny looks up at the clouds beautifully made by God I am reminded of the encouraging and comforting Bible verses in 1 Thessalonians that Jesus WILL return for meAs I wrote earlier this week, my grandkids and I have been thoroughly enjoying flying the easy kites for kids that my grandson and I discovered at Walmart. And oh, what fun to stand there and watch the smiles on their faces as we saw their kites soar up into the heavens. Such a treat. Especially with the gusty winds moving the clouds in and out of huge billowy formations. For that matter, my senior mom and I have enjoyed those same clouds, so poofy and gorgeous in the sky, as we've taken walks together several times this week. As we kept our eyes up, we could see so many changes and it added to the fun of the walks.

During this same time period, my grandkids and I have been keeping our eyes on the spiritual side of heaven while working on their encouraging and oh-so-comforting Bible memory verses about heaven for the grand kids (which have blessed me as well, I might add)-

Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

As you might imagine, these sweet words keep running through my mind every time I look up at the sky. Especially when the light from the sun catches the clouds in just that awesome way to make everything glow! Gorgeous!!!

When my granddaughter and I heard I Will Rise, by Chris Tomlin, on the radio, I knew it was the perfect song for this week and these verses. What do you think? Just click the arrow on the latest of my Smilebox eCards creations and enjoy.

I don't know about you, but that definitely gives me some sweet "goose bumps" this week. I'm so longing for no more tears and no more pain. And oh, to hear those angels sing, "Worthy is the Lamb!"  As much as I'm blessed to be used by God in this Sandwich Generation season of life, I will be so glad when it is no longer necessary BECAUSE of no more illnesses! How about you? 🙂  I'm praying you are as blessed as me here and while reading other comforting and encouraging Bible verses at Spiritual Sunday. Enjoy. 🙂
