Happy February, y'all. This year is zooming by even faster than last year, isn't it? Last month, my grandkids and I worked on the Fruit of the Spirit, PEACE. We're going to keep working on that one, even as we move on to February's fruit – LOVE (seems totally appropriate for February, don't you think?).
It's been quite a while since we had fun with the verses in the LOVE chapter of 1 Corinthians 13 and winter wigglies have led to the need to review some of those sections – A LOT. 🙂 So I made a wall poster to hang in my bathroom and carry around with me to read to them for bed times, nap times and any other times. I even added it to my cell phone.
I added a hint of "secret messages" to it with the verses all around the border. We've been staying so busy with their geography and history projects, we haven't had time to do a search for it. But my plan was sit them down and have them circle the "hiding words." What do you think?
Here's a fun coloring page too, specially nice for our younger grandkids!
Have a blessed and beautiful month full of God's joy and peace as you go about your days, juggling the Sandwich Generation issues.
Love your poster. What a fun way to learn such valuable lessons. Your grandchildren are truly blessed to have you in their lives.
p.s. As a retired teacher, I know all about the “winter wiggles!”
Fun poster ! Wiggles in kids ?? ha ha just kidding…we call it ‘stir crazy’ in my neck of the woods 🙂
For Christmas a few years ago I gave my little sister a wall hanging that said “Love is Patient, Love is Kind” and it hangs in the entry way of her home and it describes HER perfectly. The kids will love those coloring pages. Thanks for sharing.
Love the poster, we all need to carry it and read it everyday!
Another great idea. My daughter teaches at a Christian school. I’ll need to pass this along to her as it seems right up her alley for a Valentine’s Day activity. Thank you!
Great poster!
I find it interesting that Valentine’s Day generally overlooks the ultimate love of Our Lord for us. Your project is great for reminding kids of the source of every kind of love we celebrate on that day. Thank you!
Thank you Cynthia! 🙂
🙂 Hi Debra, too true! 🙂 🙂 🙂
