Daily Living Made Easier

This year’s wacky weather is setting records all OVER the place. But one place records are NOT being set is in our boomer and senior citizen gardening projects. Because of so much rain and temps that are ranging from winter lows to summer highs, we have hardly ANYTHING! And NOTHING in pink for Pink Saturday. However, my easy to use digital camera has come to the rescue with some gorgeous pink mums from last fall. Enjoy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Aren’t they lovely! And on Tuesday, I’ll show off the non-pink progress (roses, sunflowers, and butterfly bush) that we HAVE seen in our boomer and senior gardening projects. ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S. And even if there aren’t many results, the healthy fun and physical boomer and senior citizen activities like senior gardening are always great for all of us in the Sandwich Generation, don’t you think?ย ๐Ÿ™‚

These fall mums are beautiful in pink. I planted some from last fall and they are greening up now, don’t remember the color however. Happy Pink Sat.

I hear you on the temps. Here in the desert the last 2
days we have had 115 degrees. I am afraid to look and
see today what we have. I just know it is HOT.

Stay cool sweetie and thanks for the beautiful share.
Country hugs and much love, Sherry

Hi Kaye, My mums (the few I have) are blooming now. I hope if I cut them back they will bloom again in the Fall. Mine are red though not that beautiful pink. Our son, who lives in Chicago, is experiencing very strange weather too. They haven’t had any summer yet. Happy Pink Saturday and a wonderful weekend for you and your family

  6. What a great place to do anything for a senior. Lovely flowers.

  7. Thanks, LaVoice ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a blessed and happy holiday weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Hi Lynn, I’ve had that happen – where we cut the mums back and got them a second time in the year. I do hope you get that as well. ๐Ÿ™‚ And yup – weird weird weather – but definitely not boring. Have a blessed and happy red white and blue holidays weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Thank you! And oh my gracious, Sherry. That’s HOTTTTTT ! I hope things are settling down a bit for y’all but I suspect not, based on what I overheard the other day. Praying you have a lovely and happy red white and blue holiday – even in the heat. ๐Ÿ™‚
