HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the moms, grandmothers, and special women everywhere!
As I was reading encouraging Bible verses and doing my regular Bible studies this week, I pondered various Scriptures for today. I chose a passage that goes well with Wednesdays Bible memory verses for our children and grandchildren. We started a series on teaching the 10 commandments to our grandkids, starting with the verse from Exodus that teaches us that God is the great "I AM" and He is the ONLY one we should worship.
This inspirational Scripture from Revelation 1:8 seems well-suited to go with it and so encouraging for all of us in the Sandwich Generation.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God,
"Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty."
So many of us have mothers and grandmothers who have gone ahead of us to heaven and I, for one, was so blessed as I read this wonderful reminder that He IS still to come and when He does, we will be together, forever, with Him and those who have gone before us. What a blessed gift for all of us on this sweet Sunday!
And to add riches upon riches, click the arrow in the Smilebox ecard below to enjoy the lovely song, I Am, by one of our favorite praise and worship musicians, Mark Schultz. My granddaughter will especially love this choice, as she and I were blessed to see him in concert together last year and enjoyed his praise and worship hymn songs and music tremendously.

Wasn't that wonderfully encouraging and comforting music? It's definitely one of my favorite hymn songs! I especially appreciated the words:
I am the One Who calmed the seas
as well as these words from the chorus
The healer of the broken
And when you cry
I AM your savior and redeemer
Who bore the sins of man
The author and perfecter
Beginning and the end
I AM
Powerful and comforting for all of us in the Sandwich Generation on this Mothers Day Sunday! For more Christian encouragement, do visit Spiritual Sunday. And again, HAPPY MOTHER'S Day blessings to you! 🙂
Thank-you for such a sweet card. This is such a beautiful song.
God Bless,
Ginger
Love the words to the song — author AND perfecter. MY author and perfecter. That thought just gives me joy.
Pamela
Hi Ginger, thank you so much 🙂
Hi Pamela, Isn’t it encouraging! Both the Bible verses and the hymn song just soothed my spirit. I’m so blessed to hear it encouraged you as well 🙂
That was very beautiful, Dear. Thanks for sharing it. I have not heard Mark Schultz much. He has a wonderful voice. Blessings ~
I love this song so much how lucky am I that I have my mom by my side.
Hi Cathy, Thank you. He has, indeed, been very blessed with a lovely voice and heart for God. 🙂
The song and video are beautiful, Kaye. How wonderful to contemplate His coming again and reuniting with loved ones. The older I get the more I appreciate and look forward to that day.
Blessings,
Charlotte
