Happy Father’s Day to the Sandwich Generation!

These fun grandparents clipart remind us that Bible memory verses activities with grandchildren are a way of leaving a spiritual legacyI found a very special video, the Father’s Love Letter, and was so blessed by it. It’s a treasure for all of our Sandwich Generation family members – from the very youngest grandchild to the very oldest senior great grandfather and grandmother. I pray you will be blessed as well!

The video is in a format that is new to me so I had to use a new tool and it has to play at the bottom of this post. You may have to click at the top of your screen to allow this quicktime video to play. You may then have to click on the little arrow under the box to make it go and you might have to do that a couple of times during the movie as it does occasionally pause. And oh yes! It’s well worth it. BUT you can also click here to go to their website and watch it there. 🙂

This Sandwich Generation granny nanny does love her NIV large print life application study BibleBasically, the writer has taken many encouraging and comforting Bible verses (paraphrased) and put them together with music in this sweet and uplifting video. You’ll notice the Scripture verse references are on the screen as the narrator speaks them.

I wish I’d had this to play for my senior dad during his end stage of Parkinsons Disease. I think this would have ministered to him so much! In fact, I think  this would be a wonderful blessing to so many of our beloved senior parents going through very difficult times as well as ourselves, whether they are recovering stroke patients, wrestling with cancer or struggling with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia symptoms. It’s so restful to listen to and so wonderful to have the Word of God surrounding each of us!When caring for elderly parents who may be a stroke patient or have Parkinsons or Alzheimers at home music and comforting Bible verses can be such a blessing

Blessings to all of you, in and out of the Sandwich Generation, on this Spiritual Sunday. And again,

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

Grandparents often have many great opportunities to share encouraging Bible verses with their grandchildren

  1. 🙂 Hi Whidbey Woman. I wondered if I wouldn’t have some company with it. How fun you did it too! And what a blessing it is to so many. I, too, had a very blessed earthly father, but still found this to be full of encouraging Bible verses that ministered to my heart. God has really used its creator in a wonderful way. Praying for special blessings for you and your family today.

🙂 How about that? Just before reading this post, I shared the Father’s Love Letter on Facebook. I am reminded that, although I was blessed by a loving eartly father, others have not. There are people hurting today. They need to know that their Heavenly Father is there for them. I hope your family has a wonderful weekend!

I am so happy you shared this video. I have never seen it, and for someone who doesn’t have much of a relationship with her earthly father it is a blessing to receive this message from my heavenly Father.

Thank you so much for sharing.

  2. You are so right Kaye. This is beautiful and encouraging when we see are senior parents suffering with a serious disease. I lost both of my parents to cancer. We need to hear this and often. It lifts our spirit and theirs.
Thank you for your sweet comment on my post.
    Blessings, Jeanne

  3. What a blessing and encouragement to read your comment Misty. Thank you. I’m so grateful God showed it to me so I could share it with you. It was new to me as well. Have a blessed week!

  4. Oh Jeanne, Thank you. And how hard for you! I had two dear friends and neighbors – who died within a couple of years of each other. He from major illnesses, and her from cancer. I still remember how hard that was for them and for their family and all of us friends. You’re in my prayers tonight extra. 🙂

  5. Amen Ginger, AMEN! 🙂

  6. The Father’s Love Letter is a beautiful video, Kaye. Your little illustration of the father and little girl is so cute. Blessings ~

  9. Thank you Cathy! I am so blessed with the great artwork from Trina and Friends. And even though I had a good relationship with my dad as well as having a good one with my heavenly Father, I was so blessed with that Love Letter myself. I’m thrilled to share it with others. 🙂 Have a blessed week.

  10. Amen, Pamela, AMEN! 🙂

  11. I sat back in my chair, closed my eyes, listened, and cried. And thanked God and Jesus. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful love letter.
