Today is America's Birthday.
As one of the members of the too-busy-celebrating-to-be-aging Baby Boomers Generation,
I wanted to take this opportunity to say:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the USA!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
GOD BLESS EACH OF US!
Where ever we may live, let us remember to pray for those in authority over us.
First of all, then,
I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,
for kings and all who are in authority,
so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.
I Timothy 2:1-6
And now, for the delight of all of us, from senior parents to sweet grand kids, here's one of my favorite of all the rousing patriotic songs and music along with fireworks fun for all, including those who can't get out to see them. Don't forget to click the match to the rocket to start the fun – and be forewarned, there is some loud popping. 🙂

To all of my fellow members of the Sandwich Generation
dealing with the issues of caring for elderly parents
in the USA
and abroad…
Have a delightful day!
🙂
P.S. That wonderful rendition of God Bless America was sung by The USAF Band and Singing Sergeants on their album A Patriotic Salute to the Military Family
which is something near and dear to the hearts of many of us in the Sandwich Generation, caring for elderly parents, along with those senior parents. 🙂
