Good News About Good News for Boomers, Seniors, Their Families

I confess, the title is a fun little play on words for this short little news post to encourage all of us boomers and seniors who have the Kindle, or the Kindle app on computer or iPhone. Right now Amazon has the ESV version of the Bible available as one of their free Christian Kindle books online.

There is nothing like holding the solid Word of God in your hands for a peaceful quiet Bible study. But that isn't always an option for those of us busy dealing with the Sandwich Generation issues of babysitting grandchildren a lot while caring for the elderly parents in our lives, is it? So having the Bible in a Kindle eReader or Kindle app on our iPhone tucked away in our pockets and purses is a big blessing.

I personally enjoy the ESV (English Standard Version) along with the NKJV (New King James Version), the NASB (New American Standard Bible), the NIV (New International Version), and sometimes the Message. So it is now in my Kindle books library, ready for a quiet time on a Rednesday when I can sit and read the Word of God the high-tech way, complete with cute red Kindle cover. Don't you love fun AND practical ways to save money like this? 🙂

Really like the red kindle cover. We have an I-pad with a few versions, my favorite is the Message Bible. But theirs nothing like that bible thats been handed down with grams and moms handwriting in the columns!!

That’s so nice of them to offer it free! I’m personally attached to paper and ink, but if I was a person on the go, a Kindle would be of great use!
