We were blessed to enjoy a delightful visit with one of my grandkids' sweet great-grandmas during the holiday week. It was such a nice time. The Thanksgiving feast was delicious, thanks to my gourmet kids,
the new family memories we created with loved ones near and far (Praise God for telephones!) will warm our hearts for years to come and, of course, I kept my easy to use digital camera handy for all sorts of Sweet Shots for Tuesday like family game activities for grandparents and grandchildren.
Since we are too far apart to do Christmas together, we celebrated early by having great-grandma open her Christmas gift of the Pandigital 7 inch digital photo frame so I could show her how to use it. She didn't have room in her luggage for it so I'll be mailing it to her but that works out great since now I have time to add all the Thanksgiving photos as well, like this cute photo of a granddog (it's dark because it's a photo of a digital photo).
When she receives it, all she will have to do is plug it in, possibly hit one button, and enjoy!
It was fairly easy for me to set up this digital picture viewer frame but my senior mom would not have been able to do it as she never works with computers. If you are thinking of giving digital photo frames as gifts to elderly parents, you'll find that by setting it up ahead of time and adding all the pictures (as well as deleting their sample photos), all our relatives have to do is plug them in. The time we spend doing the set-up becomes a sweet part of their gift.
Gifts of time are invaluable to all, and particularly to our elderly parents, aren't they? Especially when they include fun photos of your delightful family memories!
P.S. If you haven't already done so, be sure to click here, then leave a comment at the Salonpas free blog give away post. If you win, just think what lovely gifts you'll have for the elderly parents or other relatives on your Christmas shopping list (or for yourself 🙂 ). The giveaway ends December 1, 2010. Remember, two readers will each receive one Pandigital 7 inch digital photo frame, along with great samples of the new FDA approved Salonpas pain relief patch and arthritis pain relief patch.
Great piece as always, Kaye. Sounds like you had an awesome Thanksgiving. You really have a knack for treasuring family time, and it comes through in your writing. As another who treasures family time, I appreciate that! Also love your practical advice on using the digital photo frame, which is such a great gift for grandparents/great grandparents.
Thank you, Michelle! I appreciate that! 🙂 Be sure to pop over to the give away post and leave a comment so you can be entered for the photo frame. 🙂
Oh how neat!!!! Love stopping by. Glad you enjoyed your day♥
Hi Susan, Happy Thanksgiving! Have a blessed week.
