Daily Living Made Easier

My grandkids and my senior mom and I are all making fun gardening plans including for the Sunflower house or houses

Welcome to SandwichINK's special PINK Saturday Ultimate Blog Party 2011 edition. I'm happy to report the good news for all of us boomers and seniors that that there are, indeed, interesting sites for us to see at the Ultimate Blog Party, along with fun giveaway prizes for all ages. You'll even spot some pretty PINKS, from my cute country spring flowers clipart here to SImply Sandwich, a fellow member of the Sandwich Generation, who has a cute article about shopping for prom dresses and ending up with PINK options, and more. Lots of great PINK friends and and new acquaintances to explore this week, that's for sure.

The Sandwich Generation issues have been keeping me hopping more than the norm this week, leaving less time for as much blog visiting as I might like. Even with so little time, I have met some interesting new-to-me bloggers and I wanted to introduce them to you:

Mollianne from Clever Masquerade. She's a fellow baby boomer with grandkids, including a grandteen, so we definitely have lots in common. I loved reading her tribute to her parents who just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary! What great legacies that family is passing on.

Kanesha, and her good friend Margot, are busy writing about multigenerational families at It's a Full Nest from a slightly different perspective. They are thrilled to have senior parents living with them as granny (and pappy) nannies for their chidren while they are at work. It's fun for me to read "the rest of the story." AND they have a fun giveaway at their site.

Donita K. Paul and Evangeline Denmark are well known authors here at SandwichINK, as i recently reviewed their cute children's books in Looking for Cute Christian Stories for Our Children and Grandchildren? and Great Books for Reading Activities for Grandparents and Grandchildren, From Christian Heroes of the Faith Biographies For Kids To A Cute Dragon and Turtle! They also write dragon stories for for older kids, including the Christian allegory, Dragonspell. It looks intriguing and I'm planning on getting a copy for my grandteen to read.. If you'd like a chance to win a copy or want to try for one of the other great prizes at 5 Minutes for Mom's Ultimate Blog party 2011, just fill out their contest form and request the item(s) you are interested in.

Teresa has a couple of cute blogs, including A Baby Changes Everything. Another of the grandparents participating, she is offering a fun giveaway at her site for her "famous card boxes." That sounds so intriguing, I made sure to leave a comment and enter.

We'll that's a good start on new bloggers today, and there'll be more later this week. Also, don't forget to pop on over to Pink Saturday at Bev's as well as the Ultimate Blog Party 2011. Pink parties and parties with great prizes make for great weekend fun for the busy Sandwich Generation, dealing with the issues of caring for the elderly parents and other relatives as well as babysitting grandchildren. And my favorite thing about all these fun parties is that we can do them all from home – perfect for all of us multigenerational caregivers. And isn't that also a fun reason to link up with another creative grandmother, Laurie, for Favorite Things Saturday? AND since one of my favorite and very creative ways to save money is to buy the cute country clipart from Trina and Friends that I've used in this post, I'm also linking up with The Thrifty Groove for her very first linky party ever! She's got some more fun and practical ways to save money for her party, that I really appreciated. Enjoy!
