As far as this Sandwich Generation granny nanny is concerned, easy crafts and grandkids go together like a horse and buggy! It keeps them busy in a positive way, helps them with creative and manipulative skills, and is just plain fun. It can also help out with gift giving needs!

I had such a nice time with my grandkids a few weeks ago. The rain was coming down, the leaves were dancing in the wind, the day was chilly and my grandkids were working on Christmas gifts for their parents as well as some sweet seniors and others. I even put on Christmas carols to help get us in the mood. As we were singing along with the songs, one of my grandkids blessed my heart so much! He smiled at me and said, "Grandma, you have the BEST Christmas music." Awwwwwww! Now that's truly sweet music to my ears!

They had such a good time decorating breakable ceramic coffee cups from Kids Craft Made By Me along with decorating wooden picture frames. (Shhhhh – don't tell anyone. 🙂 )

These were both fun and easy crafts for all ages, from kids to seniors. The cups are a bit heavy, though, so I'd be cautious about them with elderly seniors without much strength in their hands. But the wooden picture frames were quite light and easy to work with. And won't they look adorable with cute pictures of the grandkids in them. Sweet gifts for your whole Sandwich Generation family and such fun craft activities for grandparents and grandchildren! And what a fun way of adding to your "stockpile" of delightful family memories with these fun Christmas traditions!
