Here’s a cute video (in the right column) from Willow Creek to help with teaching the Ten Commandments to our kids and grand children. A great “rhythm song” that’s a whole lot of fun. It’s geared for elementary school ages though many older and younger grandkids might also enjoy it. I certainly did.
I LOVE that it is wrapped all around the inspiring Bible verses in Matthew 22:36-39, “‘Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law ?’ And [Jesus] said to him, ”You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” As Jesus went on to explain, “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
Those are the Bible verses I’m planning on ending this series with as they make a terrific “exclamation point” to the Ten Commandments Bible memory verses for children, don’t you think? I considered saving this video til the end, but thought it would be useful throughout, so here tis. (By the way, if your grandchildren love “I Spy” activities, tell them to “Spy” each of the 10 commandments written out and flashed on the screen in different ways – like on a kid T-shirt or on someone’s cell phone. It’s another great way to get the information into their brains in different ways – always an excellent mental activity for young AND baby boomer brains. 🙂 )

Isn’t it a cute little ditty! And it’s not just FUN for our grandchildren. It also helps them learn such an important theological truth in a fresh new way. I definitely love that!
