I love Psalm 100. It reminds me I don't have to sing perfect – just make a joyful noise. Since that's one of my favorite activities for grandparents and their grandchildren, I find myself doing that frequently.
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD, He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.

I also love that it reminds us to focus on praising Him and blessing His name – not because of anything we do, or even necessarily because of our circumstances. But because He is our God and He is so good, caring for us as a shepherd does his sheep. And I love the way it talks about His truth enduring to ALL generations – that includes our kids, our grandkids, our great-grandkids. That's why I pray daily and often for my family and look for so many fun and creative ways to share God's love and all His encouraging Bible verses with my grandchildren and with you and your family. (Speaking of which, this is a great Psalm to share with your grandkids next time you visit a zoo or petting zoo! 🙂 )

How fun Amydeanne! I have a new Border Collie granddog who would LOVE some sheep but is making do with a volleyball. But who knows… 🙂 My grandpa used to have sheep and sheared the once a year. Are you going to do that? 🙂

Awesome post…we just had 2 of our grandsons for a week and it was so fun to sing songs about Jesus with them before bed time and listen to their prayers. HIS truth does endure to all generations! Thanks for your post!
