God’s Comfort on Dark Days
As our hearts and prayers are with the victims of terrorism everywhere along with their family and friends, I find myself clinging to one of my long-time favorite and very comforting Bible verses from Isaiah as well as sharing it with my family and friends.
Comforting Hymns and Songs for Difficult Seasons of Life
The God of Angel Armies, a lovely contemporary praise song by Chris Tomlin, is a favorite of one of my grandkids and myself. And it’s especially comforting during difficult seasons of life – whether brought about by terrorism, family grief and sorrow, personal woes, etc.
Here’s a lovely version with the lyrics showing and it’s part of a beautiful playlist to encourage and lift your spirits
Pastor Nates teaches the next in the series of verse by verse Bible studies in the book of John, part 09, from Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara, California.
Coloring Page for Kids and Adults
Here’s another fun Thanksgiving coloring page plus I turned today’s Scripture picture into a coloring page. Enjoy!
Praying for Our World and Our Families
Praying for our world, our country and our families this week for a season of peace and God’s wisdom in the midst of sorrow. I was very blessed with the opportunity to pray about all that had happened with various grandkids nearby as well as long distance via cell phone. It was a sweet way to teach them to pray about everything that happens – good and bad – and put our trust in God. We also read the encouraging and comforting Bible verse in the photo above together. A sweet way of leaving a spiritual legacy in their hearts and minds.

P.S. Last week I shared resources for boomers and seniors, caregivers and grandparents in and out of the Sandwich Generation dealing with grief and sorrow during the holiday season. If you missed it or are interested in those resources in the wake of more international tragedy, it’s at Sweet Words of Comfort as Thanksgiving Draws Near.

Beautiful words that everyone needs to hear every day, despite the way it’s going for them! We are never alone; whether or not we even want him there, there he is – hovering like a loving grandparent!
Bless you, too, Kaye!
Thank you for such sweet encouragement Joyce! 🙂
