Happy Holidays! It’s a week full of fireworks and fun for many of us in the USA as well as Canada! (Although my granddogs seriously disagree on the fun part! You shoulda heard them last night when fireworks kept going off. They were NOT happy campers!)
If your grandkids are like mine, the excitement is mounting. Some fun, and sometimes quiet, projects are quite handy to help keep their hands and minds busy til the big day! Swimming is a big help, as is indoor roller or ice skating. Coloring pages and working on bookmarks for future gifts, including Christmas are also quite handy. The cute patriotic clipart I shared Saturday can be a big help there. In addition, here are some handy ideas from around the web:
- At Facebook, Jenn Fowler has a very cute Homemade Patriotic Ice Cream Cake
- At Pinterest, I have a several fun patriotic crafts and ideas pinned in various spots, including Easy crafts for kids and seniors, this cute dessert from Yummy Recipes for Our Sandwich Generation Families, and 99 Ideas for Celebrating the 4th at Patriotic Joys.
- My post, Fun Activities for Elderly Seniors in Your Life, also touches on patriotic fun ideas.
How about you and your grandkids? Got any fun suggestions for us? We’d love to hear. 🙂
P.S. And YES, I’d love to have you follow me at Facebook, G+, and Pinterest. There are some great resources for the Sandwich Generation at each, and I am able to share even more great info there. So just click the buttons and Like/Follow away. 🙂 And HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
