I love this photo, which I used for Word-filled Wednesday last week. It reminds me of a forest we used to visit when I was a child. It speaks to me of the sweet peace God can bless us with, even in the Sandwich Generation storms of life!
This week my family and I are praying extra for some sweet friends walking through extra hard storms – a senior friend of my mom's a boomer friend of mine AND a young friend of some of my grandkids are all battling various forms of cancer, one just diagnosed this week. We've been doing a lot of shared prayers together – in the house, on the phone, and in the car.
While praying in the car with my senior mom this week, I heard Kutless singing Everything I Need. Talk about perfect timing. I'm going to send a gift of this song to the grandchildren!
I hope and pray it encourages them – and you – as much as it did me.
As difficult a season as this is turning out to be for my whole Sandwich Generation family as we continue praying for our beloved friends, we are also seeing God's presence, encouragement, and lessons in and through all this. What a sweet blessing and gift! I'm praying that for you as well!
Lovely video. I’ve not heard it here in New Zealand.
Blessings, Kaye, and may you know God’s grace through trying care-giving days. Mine is the season of mentoring mothers and children and helping them to make the most of their homeschooling years. Care-giving of a different sort, I suppose. Hopeful in God for direction in all things.
Joy!
Kathy
Thanks for the blessing of that beautiful song. Blessings ~
