Don’t you love it when God gives you a really big “Hug.” I had one of those moments last week and since you were a part of it, I had to share it with you. Remember when I wrote last week about God protecting Moses and the children of Israel as part of last Sunday’s comforting Bible verses devotional? I wrote that very late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. That, coupled with the time change and some other issues, led to my feeling very tired and a bit cranky. (Yes, I confess, I was doing a bit of complaining to God that weekend!) I did a lot of praying throughout the day and God kept encouraging me in several ways.
The sermon that morning was awesome! It was all about the joy of the Lord and how our joy is not dependent on our circumstances but upon God and His power in our lives. It definitely perked me up but then tiredness took over and I turned back into an “Eeyore” by evening. By that time, I was babysitting some sick little grandkids (my “little bears”). I was reading to them out of their Kids’ Bible and picked the Red Sea Story, just because of my post that day. I was so blessed by the verse from Exodus 14:14, which was in the NIrV:

Wonderful post. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Have a blessed Sunday!
I’ve read a few posts on being still…hmmm. Maybe He’s trying to tell me something. ☺ Great post.
This is a great reminder. Thanks for posting, and also for stopping by my corner. God bless 🙂
I love the Be Still verse. The picture you posted really brings it home for me! Thank you.
Amen, Kaye. Thank you for sharing these insightful thoughts with us.
Blessings,
Charlotte

I love those verses. And that song was so pretty. I had not heard it before. Do you have to pay to add songs to Smilebox? Wish I could do one with my music. My WFW is about God parting the Red Sea. Blessings ~
Hi Cathy, You can add free songs from their selections to any Smilebox – free or paid. To add your own music – whether you record it on mp3 or buy it as mp3 does require that you upgrade to one of their premium cards. Those are about $3-4 is all. I did that for two years. Once I started using them more, though, I upgraded even more to their annual Club Smilebox which is $39.99 a year or $5.99 a month and they do offer a 14 day free trial. For me, it’s been well worth it as that gives me unlimited cards to select and can add music at no additional cost. You can get more info about it by clicking here. 🙂
Thanks, Kaye, I’ve already downloaded it, but haven’t spent much time on it yet.
Let me know how it goes, Cathy, and if you have any questions. The nice thing is that Smilebox is one of the easiest programs I’ve used. 🙂
