The happy patriotic holidays are behind us, school is a distant memory for many of our grandkids, the days are hot, the sun is bright, the storms keep coming, and it's well and truly summertime. Lots of changes, but some things stay the same. Including the fact that this Sandwich Generation granny nanny is slowly but surely continuing to work through teaching the 10 commandments for kids and grand children.
"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor." Or as the Message puts it, "no lies about your neighbor." Aren't those excellent words of encouragement from Exodus 20:16 in these days of "the little white lie doesn't matter." Couple that with "speaking the truth in love," and these important Bible memory verses for our grand children make an excellent prescription for future peace with friends, families, and neighbors!

Blessings Kaye… How precious the bears that bear this commandment and teach us to speak the truth in love. I love your teaching of the commandments and continuing so creatively to be a great granny nanny. This is excellent encouragement for all of us.
God’s Word is truth and I’m so thankful for honesty in others because it’s the way I am and expect. But it’s a good point that you shared “in speaking it in love”… Thanks Kaye for such a sweet post! Keep up the wonderful lessons!
Peace,
Peggy

What a reminder for us ALL!! I have to say that this is one that we need to keep on remining ourselves…it’s so easy to become caught up in it on so many levels…You are an incredible blessing to those kids and I imagine you walk away with more lessons than you ever anticipated from them! peace!
Oh I just loved this, shared it with my little ones and they loved the bears and scripture too! Thank you for sharing.

I like the two bears at the top with the page. Is this a poster? I might be interested in purchasing it.
