While visiting my long distance grandkids, I was blessed to see an absolutely gorgeous sunset and snapped some photos of it. I thought they'd be fun to show the local grandkids as well as making a sweet and restful backdrop for these encouraging Scriptures that are so important for us to meditate on, as well as sharing them with our grandkids as Bible memory verses. For that matter, these are a lovely encouragement for our aging seniors who are in the "sunset" of their lives.
We are never too old to be reminded of how important it is to put our full and total trust in God. As He has told us in Psalm 46,
"Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
What wonderful promises of God in the Bible. There are plenty of times when dealing with the Sandwich Generation issues, not to mention all of life itself, that it feels like the world is in chaos – whether our personal world or the world in general. How wonderful to remember and rely on His Word that reminds us that HE is indeed, IN CONTROL.
As you go about dealing with the Sandwich Generation issues this week, be blessed with these comforting and encouraging Bible verses, as well as the many Scriptures you can enjoy at Internet Cafe Devotions for Word-Filled Wednesday.
Great scripture.
A gorgeous photo, Dear, and I love the verse. Blessings ~
Oh I love this and so true. I am trying to get our kids together working on verses as the entire family. I love your verse and the photo is great.
Great to find you again. I have been away for awhile!
