Yesterday was one of "those" days! Full of fun times, and hard times, and hugs and giggles, and tempers and tantrums, peaceful moments and times of crisis, and intertwined all through the day – there were plenty of prayers AND some awesome YESes to prayers! Including finding a dear friend's missing iPhone safe and unharmed, when it should have been squished flat!
After some time working on a project with one set of grandkids, followed by some Webkinz fun with long distance grandkids, followed by popping old-ish popcorn fairly successfully for senior mom, I sat down to think of something for Word-filled Wednesday. Only problem was, I had a brain full of mush! Once again it was time to pray, followed by yet another interruption, followed by checking something on Facebook where God graciously answered my prayer with a sweet gift to me which I now offer as a sweet gift to you.
I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1-2
I was so grateful to God for that encouragement, and blessed that He used a fave writer of mine, Kay Arthur, to point it out to me. Truly perfect timing for this busy Sandwich Generation granny nanny! That's for sure! How about you? 🙂
Wonderful scripture.
Amen and Amen, Kaye!! I love that verse and know it as a song.
How I treasure those special times with my grandkids… The verse and scripture are so perfect. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you Kathleen. And what a blessing those times are to your grandkids as well! 🙂 Blessings.
I LOVE Scripture songs, Kate. They stay in your mind the best, don’t they? I can still sing Scriptures I learned as songs 30 years ago when I was a new Christian! 🙂 It’s not “I will call upon the Lord, Who is Greatly to be Praised” is it? 🙂 That’s not quite the same, but close. 🙂 Have a blessed day!
Thanks Denise! 🙂
I, too, have had so many direct interventions of prayers answered with “yes,” that I had to change my basic petition to, “Lord, I wish I could pray with the faith of someone who “has not seen, but still believes,” but because of your generosity I am forced to pray as someone who believes because she HAS seen!”
Amen, Joyce, AMEN!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
