Valentine Love for the Sandwich Generation

by on February 10, 2010

Love covers all transgressions.

Valentine's Day is a great time to remind all of us caring for the elderly parents in our lives along with our grandkids, as part of the Sandwich Generation, of the truth in Proverbs 10:12.

Proverbs 10 has great advice for the Sandwich Generation

Whether it's a senior parent snapping, due to dementia symptoms;

or a grandchild having a bit of a melt down in the grocery store;

or even ourselves being cranky after too little sleep.

God's love forgives all our transgressions and

enables us to forgive others and love them no matter what.

And that's the best Valentine gift of all!

Amen! Love covers all. Just as God’s love covered our transgressions. Loved the Picture.

Hi Maxine,Thank you :) So true! And I’m so glad you liked the pix. Carnations are 1 of my favorite flowers – along with roses, hydrangeas, and camellias. :)

Beautiful reminder… relating so closely as I’m a momma who has dealt with that melt down, and a care-giver who also has accepted that the snapping really wasn’t meant the way it came out. Thanks so much for sharing God’s Love, and WFW with us all!
Hugs & Prayers, hL

Hi Heather, I’m right there with you!!! :) That’s one of the fun things about Word-Filled Wednesday. How often God speaks to us through our own pictures as much as through others – often without our realizing it til afterwards :) Happy Valentine’s week! :)

Wonderful verse and one that we would benefit so greatly from if we obeyed as often as we should (all the time!)

Thank you for sharing!! :O)
