Hi Kaye,
I just wanted to thank you for mentioning me and some of my articles on my website. I greatly appreciate your trust in me.
Oddly enough, much of my early nursing career was in neonatal intensive care so I also have the designation of certified child passenger safety inspector (we test car seats).
I just wanted to add that, along with making sure that car seats are being used appropriately, it’s important to note that ANY object that is not secured in your automobile can become a flying weapon in a car accident. Try to avoid leaving tools, groceries, heavy toys, mirrors (the ones many Moms use to be able to see the kids in the back seat….:( , etc IN the car. It’s best to secure them in a trunk.
Congratulations on your new award! You deserve it!
