Lent is, to me, a wonderful opportunity to plan various fun activities for grandparents and grandchildren in order to help us all remember the awesome sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ and His death on the cross. We look forward, with a mix of sorrow to joy, to Good Friday first and then on to Easter and His Resurrection!
As I was visiting various blogs yesterday for A Pause In Lent, I enjoyed reading the article at The Madhouse. She ended it with the question, "How would you discuss Easter with a 3 and a 5 year old, they are both bright and love to learn. I would like some ideas on a way to explain this to them."
As you know, that is a subject near and dear to my heart, not to mention my writing. I wrote her about a couple of my previous posts for Lent and Easter, then realized a round-up of them for you might be a handy annual resouce, as well. Many of these articles include easy Easter crafts for grand children that can also work well for seniors. In fact, as a blog focused on the Sandwich Generation and their issues, most of the articles will have something of interest for all the family, from the grandchildren on up to the elderly parents.
So, without further adieu,
Fun and thought-provoking Lent and Easter activities for grandparents and grandchildren as well as elderly parents:
- Good Friday Ideas and Activities
- Resurrection Easter Eggs, Clipart, and Books
- Resurrection Easter Eggs – DIY
- Easy Easter Crafts For Children and Seniors
- Easter Arts and Crafts
- Easter Hymns
- Lent Devotionals With The Grandkids - Salvation
- Lent Devotionals – Surrender
- Easter Sharing and Caring for Elderly Parents
- Easter Seder
- Homemade Easter Greetings Cards
- Rainy Day or Easter Break Activities for Grandparents and Granchildren
- Fun Items for Easter Baskets
- Easter Devotions For The Sandwich Generation
Well, that's it for this year. I'm looking forward to adding even more interesting ideas and activities for grandparents and grandchildren along with our senior parents, to encourage us all as we share the truth of Jesus Christ and His resurrection. We'd love to hear your favorite Easter traditions, crafts, ideas, and suggestions for this as well.
