printable Thanksgiving placecards

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope and pray y'all have a lovely week full of sweet family memories this week. Here's the last of my Thanksgiving placecards and coloring pages for our Sandwich Generation family gatherings. Since I already had a grandpa on one of the placecards, of course I also had to have a grandma. 🙂

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good ; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. Psalm 118:29

If you are getting out to see the grandkids, enjoy the precious moments with them. And for those of you who are staying home due to caregiving issues for your aging parents, I pray you will also have a peaceful Thanksgiving – knowing how vital you are and what a blessing you are being right where you are!

Happy Thanksgiving! Of course, the actual holiday is still a couple of weeks away but I've been enjoying all the different "thankful comments" I've found at various sites online. Very encouraging in general, and a delightful "pick-me-up" for all of us caregivers. I'm continuing with this month's Word-filled Wednesday theme of sharing encouraging Bible verses with pictures that can be used as placecards for your Thanksgiving celebration. Here's a cute pumpkin picture, coloring page, and placecard with a line for the name in the top corner.

The earth is full of your loving kindness, O Lord.

This is such a fun and easy way of leaving a sweet spiritual legacy in the hearts and minds of our children and grandchildren. And it doesn't have to be a placecard. If you have senior parents in a care facility, these would look lovely on their bulletin board. Or perhaps we can use it as stationery to write a far away friend. How about hanging it on the fridge or even in the bathroom. 🙂 Fun ways to decorate and share God's Word with others. And do have a lovely and blessed season of autumn bliss full of thanksgiving to our awesome God!

The Lord is good - faithfulness continues through all generations including the Sandwich Generation placecardThanksgiving is on its way. I don't know about you, but this year's will be a small one for us. Our holiday dinners have waxed and waned through the years. Sometimes as many as 20+. Sometimes as few as 2. This will be about 7ish. Small enough, we don't really need placecard holders. But with bigger groups, those are a big help in keeping things a little more organized, don't you think? When I get to use them, I like to add a Bible verse to them. And even though I probably won't need them this year, who knows about next year for us – and this year for YOU! So I thought it would be fun to make some cute placecard holders for us each week, starting with this grandpa and grandson.

This is one of those encouraging Bible verses I really cling to – especially on those days the grandkids are being a bit on the rambunctious side ("who, us????" they cry! 🙂 ). Here's a bigger, simler version of my little placecard…

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Ps 100:5

And here it is as a coloring page – perfect for quiet activities on Thanksgiving Day or even before the fun festivities begin, don't you think?
