<p><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;"> </span></big><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;">If you are trying to decide between assisted living and a nursing home for an elderly parent, <strong><a title="Home Instead Senior Care's article" href="http://assisted-living-phoenix.carebuzz.com/is-assisted-living-caring-elderly/" target="_blank">Home Instead Senior Care&#8217;s article</a> </strong>offers some good things to consider. </span></big></p>
<p><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;"><br />
</span></big><big></big><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;"><strong><a title="Lilly Sold Drug for Dementia Knowing It Didn't Help" href="http://www.alzheimersreadingroom.com/2009/06/lilly-sold-drug-for-dementia-knowing-it.html" target="_blank">Lilly Sold Drug for Dementia Knowing It Didn’t Help</a>!</strong> Just goes to show we need to keep asking questions, keep researching, and keep learning when we are caring for our aging parents.<br />
</span></big></p>
<p><big></big><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;"><strong>GRANDKIDS:</strong></span></big></p>
<p><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;">Even if you&#8217;re really careful about those <strong>photos of grandkids online</strong>, they could wind up in places you don&#8217;t want them. Here&#8217;s an interesting article about <a title="a family photo that showed up larger than life" href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8094420.stm" target="_blank"><strong>a family photo that showed up larger than life</strong></a> on the<br />
window of a Czech grocery store!<br />

<p><big></big><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;"> </span></big></p>
<p><big></big><big></big><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;"> <strong>BABY BOOMER GENERATION </strong><br />
</span></big></p>
<p><big></big><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;"> </span></big></p>
<p><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;">Yummm &#8211; do you have <strong>a breadmaker</strong> you are not using? Here&#8217;s <strong><a title="a recipe I'm going to try out on my senior mom" href="http://www.feelslikehomeblog.com/2009/06/perfect-homemade-whole-wheat-bread/#more-1176">a recipe I&#8217;m going to try out on my senior mom</a></strong> just as soon as I pull mine out of storage.<br />
</span></big></p>
<p><big></big><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;"> </span></big></p>
<p><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;">If you are <strong>flying this summer, whether alone or with aging parents and/or grandkids</strong>, don&#8217;t count on blankets and pillows being available. I usually carry my own, but recently flew with one of my grandkids and we both forgot to bring our jackets. When I asked for blankets and pillows, Southwest explained that they had removed them due to swine flu precautions. So far, it&#8217;s just Southwest, but according to an <strong><a title="article by Chron.com, it not only is healthier" href="http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/chronicle/6476670.html" target="_blank">article by Chron.com, it not only is healthier</a>,</strong> it saves airlines money. I wouldn&#8217;t be surprised to see more airlines follow this example. And after reading the article, I don&#8217;t know that I want to use them anymore myself!<br />
</span></big></p>
<p><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;">Are you thinking of <a title="moving near grandkids or aging parents in Boise" href="http://www.usnews.com/articles/business/real-estate/2009/06/08/best-places-to-live-2009.html" target="_blank"><strong>moving near grandkids or aging parents in Boise</strong></a>? If so, you&#8217;ll be happy to know that it is number 4 on the U.S. News&#8217; &#8220;Best Places to Live 2009&#8243;  What if your family lives elsewhere? There&#8217;s <strong>several other cities</strong> mentioned as well.<br />

<p><big><span style="font-family: trebuchet;"><a title="Vitamin D Deficiency May Lead to Dementia" href="http://www.thatsfit.ca/2009/06/10/vitamin-d-deficiency-may-lead-to-dementia/" target="_blank"><strong>Vitamin D Deficiency May Lead to Dementia</strong></a> and many in the 50-70 year old age range may be Vitamin D deficient!<br />

Orange varieties were thought to be created in the 1500&#8242;s to honor William I, Prince of Orange! Also, within two hours of standing in daylight, milk loses between half and two-thirds of its vitamin B content! And last but definitely not least, he has an intriguing new site coming out &#8211; Vegimentary.com! It&#8217;s not there yet, but I&#8217;m watching for it too <img src='http://www.SandwichINK.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

beyond coupon clipping and sale shopping&#8221; and have <a title="20 podcasts on money saving topics" href="http://www.blogtalkradio.com/FrugalCoast2Coast#11moms" target="_blank"><strong>20 podcasts on money saving topics</strong></a> that you can put in your mp3 player and listen to as you shuttle aging parents and grandkids around town or do your housework. Even better, listen as you take a walk and exercise your brain and your body at the same time. One of my favorite ways to do it!<br />

<p><big>Looking for a new cell phone? I can&#8217;t use the iPhone because it is too wide for my hand but I have two daughters who LOVE it. If that&#8217;s you, too, did you know that <strong>Apple slashed the price of a new one to $99? It&#8217;s very handy for caregivers </strong>who often have to be away from their computer but need info. My smart phone is smart but the iPhone is faster!<br />
