Hi! And welcome to the 2009 Blog Party at SandwichINK. I am so excited to get to meet you and introduce you to my site. SandwichINK is written for the Sandwich Generation dealing with the family issues of caring for elderly parents and taking care of their children or grandchildren, as well as other multi-generational caregivers. If you are helping to take care of an elderly parent or other relative plus taking care of your own children, you are in the Sandwich Generation. It really doesn’t matter if they are in your home or not or even in AND out, it’s still a challenge to juggle all the varying needs of each of the different ages. If you have grandchildren you help with, a little or a lot, you have even MORE challenges to contend with. SandwichINK’s goal is to provide you with good information, useful resources, and plenty of words of encouragement to help you every day.
Some of the things I’ve found and blogged about over the last several months included how to fold paper airplanes with your grandchildren, cutting edge news on Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia symptoms, inspiring Bible verses to lift your spirits, and creative yet frugal ideas to celebrate the holidays with all your beloveds. I've put links below for you to check them out easily. But first, I have a special SmileBox eCard for you. Their eCards are one of my favorite ways to send holiday greetings, encourage an elderly shut-in, or lift the spirits of a sick grandchild. I love how easy they make it to 🙂 Please enjoy this little card complete with one of my favorite praise and worship songs, On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand. I hope you’ll enjoy it as well.
