My easy to use Canon Powershot digital camera took this sweet shot for Tuesday

Oh me, oh my, oh goodness gracious. It's been one of THOSE bad news tech weeks here for the boomers and seniors in my house. Well, OK, for me. I finally downloaded iTunes 10.3. I hadn't done it right away, so by the time I did it, they'd upgraded it to 10.3.1 due to issues with 10.3 and even that I waited on. Should have been safe, right? NOT!

I'm not sure WHAT happened but almost all my apps disappeared from my iPhone and won't load back on correctly. I re-installed it and that seemed to help a little. Now I can add them in MANUALLY – at the expense of VALUABLE TIME! Can you tell this Sandwich Generation granny nanny is feeling just. a. bit. FRAZZLED!

My easy to use iPhone 3 digital camera took this sweet granddog shot for Tuesday

I tweeted it out the same day, as well as adding it to Facebook. And I wanted to be sure and let you know here, as well. I would highly recommend holding off a bit longer on the iTunes update. It will probably be fine, but then again, you might wind up with time wasting headaches like me. Whereas waiting a bit shouldn't hurt.  πŸ™‚

In the meantime I took a few photos of my granddog to compare the iPhone 3gs vs. iPhone 4 and threw in the Canon Powershot camera as well. I used the built-in easy to use digital camera app that came with each iPhone for Sweet Shot Tuesday. I took the photos at the same time in the same room. And only cropped and rotated the pictures. What do you think of the difference?Or is there a difference?

My easy to use iphone 4 digital camera took this sweet granddogs shot along with a hint of red granddog toy for Rednesday on Tuesday

The first photo is my fave digital camera  – my easy to use Canon Powershot digital camera. Next is my AT&T iPhone 3gs that is also quite easy to use. And last, but not least, is a friend's iPhone 4. I personally think the Canon wins, the iPhone 4 is second, but I'm still ok with the iPhone 3gs when I'm busy – at least until it dies and I have to replace it. But so far, other than upgrade glitches, it's working GREAT. So, granddog and Granny Nanny are still happy!

thanks for visiting today~it was all rain… no snow here for months!

  • Hi Kaye! What a disaster with iTunes! I haven’t upgraded yet…thanks for the heads up! Before I upgraded to the Nikon D90, I had a Canon Powershot….luuuuuuuved it. My daughter now has it and occasionally I still use it. I have a cousin who is a photographer with National Geographic and he uses only Canon and he says, “A Canon will never let you down” So there you go…you are sitting pretty after all…although the iPhone 4 is great for emergencies when it’s the only thing you have in your purse! Hope you are taking some time to unfrazzle…wait…you’re a sandwich generation…you don’t have time for that! How about a cyber bear hug from a crazy bear lady?! LOL. Take care!

  • Ain’t that the truth, Paula! LOL It’s doing better, but I still have to sit down and find more of my iPhone apps. πŸ™‚ The good thing is that it made me streamline it a bit, as I’m only adding back those I really use a lot. πŸ™‚

  • Hi Patty, LOL – it used to be me helping the 16 year olds as we were early-user geeks. I’m still ahead of them for computers, but you’re right, when it comes to the newer peripherals like ipods, wii, etc. I have to turn to the younger generation for help. My kids help me with the iPod and, would you believe it, the 7-10 year old grandkids are all getting to be wiz-kids at the Wii. πŸ™‚ Makes for some fun conversations, as you might imagine!

  • LOVED the hug and LOVED the bear pix. You are SOOOO BRAVE! πŸ™‚ And SO right about each easy to use Canon Powershot digital camera! I’ve used Olympus and Panasonic and helped a friend with theirs, yet another brand tho I don’t remember the name. I’ve also used FOUR different Canon Powershot digital cameras. Without fail, all the Canons were easy to use, while the others all made it much harder! It took my friend a LONG time to talk me into trying it out but since then, I have not looked back! They are GREAT! πŸ™‚
