It can sometimes (often) be difficult to find specialized healthcare products for our aging parents. I am always on the lookout for good online sites that carry T.E.D. stockings and other medical supplies. I look for places that are safe to order from, with good prices, good discounts, and reasonable or free shipping costs.
One place I have been happy with in the last three years is MedPlusUSA.
As their home page says, they "offer a huge selection of medical & surgical supplies, equipment, wound care and above all best prices, large inventory & friendly customer service." I can’t tell you if they truly have the best prices but we were very pleased with their service and their products. They came in a timely manner and were just what we needed.
I noticed that they also offer gift certificates which can turn a birthday or Christmas gift for elderly parents into something very useful!
They do offer free or reduced shipping under certain conditions. With the high cost of most medical supplies, that can definitely be a frugal help!
This is not only a great place to look for those hard-to-find items for someone living with or near you, it’s very handy for long distance caregiving as well. All in all, an excellent resource for the Sandwich Generation.
